Gamepad MIDI Documentation

Welcome to the Gamepad MIDI documentation. This application converts gamepad inputs into MIDI control messages, allowing you to use your game controller as a MIDI controller in any DAW or music software.

What is Gamepad MIDI?

Gamepad MIDI is a standalone application that bridges the gap between gaming controllers and music production. It detects gamepad inputs (buttons, analog sticks, triggers, touchpad, gyroscope, and accelerometer) and converts them into MIDI messages that can control synthesizers, effects, mixers, and any other MIDI-compatible software.

Key Features

  • Universal Gamepad Support - Works with Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and most USB game controllers
  • Visual Feedback - Real-time visualization of all gamepad inputs
  • Flexible MIDI Mapping - Map any control to MIDI CC or Note messages
  • Preset System - Save, load, and share your mapping configurations
  • Advanced Control - Individual smoothing settings for each control type
  • Motion Control - Support for gyroscope and accelerometer inputs
  • Virtual MIDI Device - Automatic virtual MIDI device creation (platform-dependent)
  • Multiple Mappings - Assign multiple MIDI messages to a single control
